I work as a Mindfulness teacher, Integrative Counsellor, Polarity Therapist and Wholefood caterer/tutor.  I offer classes, workshops and one-to-one sessions in and around my hometown of Totnes, as well as further afield in Devon, the UK and occasionally other countries. Widely travelled and with an interest in the diversity of human ideas and experience, I am eclectic in my approach, drawing on the insights of various schools of psychotherapy, the wisdom of the East as well as the contemporary findings of western science.

For one-to-one sessions, please see my pages on integrative counselling, polarity therapy and mindfulness. For group sessions, check out what mindfulness courses are coming up and which retreats and events I will be facilitating over the comings months.

Next course: Mindfulness-based Compassionate Living (MBCL).

Monday evenings from 6.30pm-9pm, from 28th October until December 16th, and then a practice session on Jan 6th. The course takes place at Sharpham House, near Totnes, Devon.

MBCL is part of a new wave of heart-based approaches to mindfulness, giving particular emphasis to the qualities of compassion, kindness and equanimity.

The course is designed as a follow-on programme for those who have already completed an 8-week Mindfulness course, such as MBSR, MBCT or Mindfulness for Health and Wellbeing, either at Sharpham or elsewhere.

The course content is covered in eight weekly sessions, followed by a practice session three weeks later (after Christmas, on January 6), in which participants are able to consolidate their learning and explore ways to further integrate the teachings into everyday life. This course draws on positive psychology and contemporary findings from the fields of evolutionary psychology and neuroscience. It begins with learning to be kind to yourself, expanding out to kindness towards others. To find out more about MBCL courses in general, please visit www.compassionateliving.info.
